Term 1, Week 8


On monday, Mr chua came in and we greeted him as usual. Than he tell us today we will be going through R&J [ Romeo and Juliet ]. He then divide us into pairs by register numbers. We can chose our own partner but our partner must be in the same group of character. As we need to do some pair work. So i partner Rachel as she is one of my best friend. After dividing, he call us to sit with our partners. So, register number 1-10 occupy the first two column of table, 11-20 occupy the third and forth column of table, 21-30 ocuppys the fifth and sixth column of table, while the remaining 31-43 occupys the last column and the remaining tables. We're than told to join the table together. After all the shifting of table, Mr chua gave out a piece of woksheet to everyone. The worksheet is about CHARACTER ANALYSIS another word is CHARACTER TRAITS. After that Mr chua told us that he will be showing us the scene of movie in Romeo and Juliet which is part of our script. And he said that halfway watching the movie, we can note down the traits. The charater that I'm analysis is Romeo. After that the movie begins. The movie took about 15 plus minutes to end. i think the movie was quite nice. Than the movie ended. Than Mr chua brieftly tell us how the worksheet must be done. And he said that the answer can be found in the script. By than, there were not much time left. So, Mr chua call us to read the script and do the worksheet. While we're doing the worksheet, he went to the staff room to take some white paper for us to do our mind-maps. After his return, he showed us wat his expectation of mind-map was like. So, his expectation was nicely decorated, and the mind-maps must have 4 traits. After that, he distribute us the blank paper. And he tell us that the worksheet must be handed in on the next monday. Than the bell rang, and our lesson ended smoothly again.

On friday, it was quite a special friday this term as we have two periods of literature lesson. The first period was on 10.45 - 11.30pm while the second perid was on 3.15 - 4pm.
So,

On the first period, Mr chua and a female teacher [ trainee ] came into our class and they stand beside the door to wait for us to get ready to greet them. After we greeting, we settle down and Mr chua return us our worksheet on Wat is Mercy. As he wanted to go through the part that we write our God's mercy. He went through all 4 religion. First, he went through the Buddhist God's mercy, second the Christian God's mercy, third the Hindu God's mercy, forth the Muslim God's mercy. After going through, he gave us a piece of worksheet on IMAGERY. The worksheet was about understanding what Romeo says to describe Juliet. While going through the worksheet on imagary, Mr chua keep using himself as example. He was funny! Everyone was laughing. Than the bell rang and we are halfway finishing the worksheet. So, Mr chua rush through the paper. Than he told us to hand in the worksheet next monday with our mind-maps and character analysis. Than we greeted Mr chua and the lesson ended.

On the second period, Mr chua continued the last question on imagery. After that he told us to take our literature file and our pencil case and line up outside the classroom. After that we went to the Movers and Shakers Gallery. It is a place where we can find the history of our founding fathers. Than Mr chua tell us what to do. After telling, he call us to find a partner and sit down on the floor. Than Mr chua distributed a worksheet. And he tell us that the marks of the worksheet will be part of the report card marks. Therefore Mr chua wabt us to score as high as possibe. Than he tell us that all the answer for the question can be found in that gallery. After telling, we were out to find our answers! After finding the answers, we return back to where we are seated before dispersing. Than we seated there and waited for the rest. And when everyone finishes, we went back to the class and we packed our bag and of we go. Than the lesson ended without greeting Mr chua. :]
